Vocational training opportunities
Making this lovely room available and providing this useful service to the community, allows NICA Banquets the opportunity to generate the funds needed to support the autism population in our area.
Vocational training opportunities
NICA Banquets provides vocational training opportunities for our teens and adults on the autism spectrum and related disorders. It allows our special members to become "Assisted Volunteers" and receive the vocational coaching necessary to learn the real life skills needed to work in a banquet and restaurant type environment. Some of the skills that will be acquired are as follows:
-room set up and breakdown
-catering assistance
-linen/laundry upkeep
-general maintenance of the facility.
Those who are more able, may even have the opportunity to assist with security and coat check services during an event.
